Director Biography - Francesca Ippolito

Francesca Ippolito is an actress and filmmaker from Baltimore, Maryland. As crew, Francesca has worked as gaffer, boom operator, and scriptie, on friend’s and senior’s sets. She has also been DP for all her personal projects. Two summers ago, Francesca worked as a crew journalist for the Montana Conservation Corps, photographing progress and writing monthly for the organisation’s blog. Francesca recorded her crew’s daily life and edited the footage for MCC’s instagram page.

Francesca is currently working on her experimental film.

Francesca is currently a junior BFA in film and media arts, expecting to graduate in may 2025.

Director Statement

This project is an observation on the relationship between the city and country, being young and growing old, and memory. Shown through the eyes of a chain smoker just off her shift, it can be viewed as a meditation on our environments or a more intimate story about decisions.
