Memorial

Kinanti is a daughter from Miharsih and Damaringabat Marpaung. Every morning Kinanti has to hear her mother beaten by her father behind her parents room’s locked door. Since a child, until she is an adult, she decided to “break” the door and set free her mother from domestic violence that chained her mother. But Miharsih, Kinanti’s mother, who holds tight Javanese’s patriarch culture reminds Kinanti that Damarangabat Marpaung is her blood father, and Kinanti’s name not only Kinanti but Kinanti Marpaung. Kinanti and Damaringabat Marpaung is one entity that cannot be apart, as Miharsih said.

Director Biography - Mujaddid Izzul Fikri

Achmad Sulchan is a student at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang in Communication Science Major. He was born in Yogyakarta on November,14th 1997, but raised in Malang. As a kid, he likes to tell a story by creating a world from legos. He directs his friends to be part of the story that he created. After that, he begins to write at senior high schools and find a way to tell a story from a video.

To Improve his storytelling skill. He joins a Cinematography Study Club called ‘Kine Klub UMM’, Theatre Club called 'Teater Sinden' and Ludruk (Javanese Theatre) Community called 'Kendo Kenceng'.

In the first year of his college life, he begins his journey on filmography by becoming The Director of Aku Begini Aku Begitu (2015). In the same year, he also becoming Writer and DP of Pahlawan CintaQ (2015). In 2016, his filmography career continues by making two films. It’s Idrak as Producer and Scriptwriter and Tilaran as 2nd Assistant Director. At 2017, he founded ‘Kjokkenmoddinger.std’, a group that consists of filmmakers, artists, and actors around Malang. And later in 2019, with Kjokkenmoddinger.std, He released Memorial as director and writer.
