Director Biography - Firdevs Sanem Çelik, Bilge Su Sakarya

Firdevs Sanem Çelik and Bilge Su Sakarya are both Turkish animation students from Anadolu University. They've met during their education and they've done multiple shorts together. They also completed many art projects such as illustrations and character designs during their time in school. They will both be graduating in June 2023 with 2 graduation films total.

Director Statement

Over the summer of 2022, we have started to get interested in mountain climbing. It wasn't just the sport itself, we also happened to play video games and watch films about climbing and hiking, which ended up inspiring us. We were certain that we wanted to make a film about climbing. Everything else was built around that single idea. Our goal was to make it heartwarming while still touching sensitive subjects such as death and mental health. Even though our team was mostly just two people and we had 3 months to complete the film, we worked very hard to make it look as pleasing as possible to the eye with the natural scenery and cute animation style. This was our first proper short film and we hope to make better productions in the future with what we have learned!
