Sage Klein is a graduate of The Ohio State University with dual degrees in moving image production and political science. Klein's films often focus on political and social issues, but maintain an artistic edge. Klein has a particular background in sustainability, having been involved in climate activism for years and now working for a sustainability nonprofit.
I first heard about the Byrd Polar & Climate Research Center's pressing need for funding through my involvement with the sustainability committee in the Undergraduate Student Government at Ohio State. I watched my fellow student activists work to bring awareness to this need with some success, but never enough to solve the problem. This film is me doing my part to bring awareness to a climate crisis within a climate crisis -- if the Byrd Center doesn't get the funding it needs, the ice cores that have and continue to help us learn about climate change will melt inside the faulty freezer.
