Melting Greenland - Environmental Education Documentary
This documentary is not just a visual record, but also delves deeply into the future of the Earth. In August 2021, the Arctic ice cap experienced its first-ever significant rainfall, drawing global attention to Greenland. The melting rate of Greenland's ice has reached seven times what it was in the past, and climate change is an undeniable fact.
Under the leadership of Steven Ko, "Melting Greenland" headed to the region, inviting experts, government officials, and local residents to share their firsthand experiences. As the documentary progresses, the focus shifts to the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the Pacific, a low-altitude country contributing only 0.0007% of the world's carbon emissions, yet facing the threat of submersion. The stark contrast in the footage highlights the urgency of climate change and the environmental responsibilities of globalisation.
By showcasing the climate crises in Greenland and the Marshall Islands, the film explores issues related to environmental policy, social adaptation, and international support. It not only records images but also calls to all humanity: saving the Marshall Islands means saving ourselves.

As a pioneer in green sustainability practices, O'right has been a leader in carbon-neutral certification. Since 2020, the company has achieved carbon neutrality for its entire product range, factory, and organization for three consecutive years, as verified by SGS, making it the first global beauty enterprise to achieve zero carbon emissions. In recent years, O'right has been honored with the world champion title at the Paris Global Sustainability Beauty Leadership Award (Sustainable Beauty Awards) and was among the top three in the world's most prestigious Japanese design award, the Good Design Grand Award. In 2022, the company clinched the RE100 Global Corporate Leader Award and was also the recipient of the inaugural Bloomberg Green Environmental Pioneers (Bloomberg Green Finance ESG Environmental Pioneer Award). Steven Ko, the founder of O'right, was invited to speak at the APEC Sustainable Summit in the United States and at the United Nations Global Climate Summits COP25, COP26, COP27, and COP28, where he predicted the advent of the GEP era. In 2022, as the leader of the 'Thawing Greenland' initiative, Steven Ko personally visited the Arctic to film a documentary on climate change. This documentary was invited for presentation at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA77) Climate Week, the COP27 Global Climate Summit, and The Economist's Economic Impact Sustainability Forum, aiming to inspire a commitment to a more beautiful natural ecology.
