Melissa grew up in Fresno, CA to immigrant parents who worked in the fields of the central valley. Melissa had an admiration for visuals and decided to study filmmaking at Columbia College Chicago. She has freelanced in a few filmmaking opportunities, worked odd jobs. In 2016 she received an award for Best Director of Photography from the Motion Picture Association of Haiti for her work in the independent feature film Bastard Son of A Thousand Fathers. She hopes to become a Film/TV Director and Writer and Cinematographer and is excited to what's to come.
