Meet Mr. Teeny of Hooper's Creek
In Hooper's Creek North Carolina, I made a discovery living in my mailbox. A new friend.
Meet Mr. Teeny-- a Bold Jumping Spider.
It's amazing the wonders that surround us. If we can take a moment to be still in order to see and use our powers of observation.

Patricia Bradley studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and attended The New York Film Academy. As a product design director, she learned the craft of positioning, telling product stories while directing commercials and photo shoots for many of the products she conceptualized. As a child, she requested a tape recorder and binoculars for her 8th birthday in order to observe birds, record their songs, and keep sketches in her sketchbook. It was at this age Patricia became fascinated by the tiny tattered photographs of her ancestors secured by their corner tabs in both her Grandmother’s scrapbooks. Patricia loved sitting next to her Grandmothers turning the pages of time together while listening to stories and of her family who were part of a faraway past. With a passion in documenting history, studying folklore, rituals, culture and nature, Patricia delights in preserving the past and creating new ways to tell and share stories. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, growing up partly in St. Pete Fl., going on to spend 10 years in New England and 20 years in New York, Patricia is finally home in North Carolina.
"Meet Mr. Teeny of Hooper's Creek" the short, started as a complete surprise. Artists and Naturalists learn by observation. As a film producer and director spending long hours, planning, shooting and editing, I welcome the short walk to the mailbox everyday, in order to take a moment to take note of the shapes of clouds, the light, fresh air and temperature feel. I had noticed a spider web in my mail box over the years, yet I never saw any spider until that one day. I was lucky to have my phone with me...and there he was-Mr. Teeny. He instantly captivated me...bringing me such joy in his personality, seemingly looking directly at me during our encounters. I learned so much simply by looking at him. I hope you enjoy this lil' short, and I encourage you to take a moment to look around, wherever you may be. There is much joy in slowing down to see the wonders that surround us.
