Omoye Uzamere is an actor, producer, writer, and director who transitioned from a
legal career to pursue storytelling. Her work spans television, radio, theatre, and film.
She began her career as the Presenter and Associate Producer of Positive Vibes, a music
and lifestyle television show broadcast on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and
Rivers State Television (RSTV). As a writer, she contributed to projects like Africa Magic
telenovelas, Halita and Riona. She also directed the hit radio drama, LAGOSA Season 3,
featuring acclaimed actors such as Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva.
Omoye worked as an On-Air Personality (OAP) at Rhythm 93.7 FM, Lagos, and founded
Thespian Muse Production Co. Ltd. in 2010, producing projects across theatre,
television, and film. Some include The Mistress of Wholesome, The Naming Ceremony, The
Wake, Time Looped, and Does the Sky Fall on Everyone?
In 2021, she directed and produced Nigeria’s first live audio theatre performances on
the Clubhouse app. The groundbreaking work, blending technology and performance to
amplify social change on a global scale, was her contribution to the UN Women’s 16 Days
of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
Omoye is a member of the Forum of Women in Film and Television (FWIFT) Nigeria,
sister chapter of Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI). She has produced
the Lagos Theatre Festival, Africa’s largest site-specific festival, and collaborated on a
global audio drama series addressing climate change across five continents.
