Vivek Rao Nipani began his career in the entertainment industry working as a Digital Image Technician (DIT) in Mumbai, India. Having found his calling card in production, he went on to assisting India's emerging Cinematographers like Vishal Sinha, Manoj Shetty and Sunita Radia on several feature films and commercial productions. With an innate knack for Production and a fondness to documentaries, he pursued and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Production in Los Angeles, California and set out to freelance as a Producer-Editor for several Productions in Los Angeles including but not limited to, Robert Greenwald's- Brave New Films, T-Group Productions, Blue Collar Productions, Loyola Marymount University and also worked with The Shallow's Producer, Matti Leshem at Protagonist TV.
Vivek's latest project as an Assistant Editor on a feature documentary called, Built to Fail, has earned him the credential to be a part of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700. His goal is to collaborate with auteurs and visionaries to create a community through films allowing the audience to introspect and comment on today’s society - to sternly think on not only the implications, but also to come up with solutions for a better tomorrow while using the tools of storytelling to motivate, inspire and most of all remind the us of the magic of films
