Rahul Omankar is a versatile creative professional hailing from Pune, India. With a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, he has left an indelible mark on the world of Marathi drama, short films, and television.

Born and raised in Dhayari, Pune, Rahul's journey into the world of creativity began at an early age. He completed his 10th SSC Board Examination from New English School, Tilak Road, followed by his 12th HSC Board Examination from P. JOG College.

Rahul's artistic flair and dedication to the craft of dramatic arts quickly became apparent through his involvement in various Marathi dramas. His performances in plays such as "Guru," "Your Great Pappa," "Abhaas Ki Bhaas," "Tur Tur," "Shivjanma," "Doctor-Doctor," "Aarakshan," "Bhartiya," and "Vidushak Ani Chota Bheem" showcased his ability to bring characters to life on stage.

Stepping into the directorial realm, Rahul's short films have garnered attention for their engaging narratives and distinctive style. Notable works include "FB Vali Love Story," "Birthday (Day Of Special Memories)," and "Emoji," which highlight his proficiency in capturing emotions and moments through the lens.

Rahul's cinematic journey extended to the realm of Marathi cinema, where he contributed as an Assistant Director for "KOTI" and served as an Executive Producer for "MORYA," reflecting his commitment to all aspects of the filmmaking process.

Director Statement

"Media Disorder" is a Micro Film. The main motive behind making Media Disorder film is to present the Human and Media Relationship. Media causes emotional imbalance in human life. We can understand it through following example, reading books for hours will imbalance our emotions for hours, watching movie on Television would do same. Newspaper are always been used to spread hate and fake news to attack human emotionally and psychologically. In present time short videos / reels have taken it ten step further as we can watch atleast 4 reels/shorts per minute meaning that 4 types of emotional changes would take place in a single minute. Average view time might be even higher than 10 minutes which might be causing a huge amout of emotional imbalance. It seem's to be a new Disorder which indirectly is attacking humans. My Micro Film "Media Disorder" is a flim trying to show the Emotional Imbalance in human's caused by various modes of Media either it might be TV, Mobile, Newspaper or any sort of media.
