Celebrating its 10th edition, the Medenine International Film Festival is a vibrant showcase of global cinema, held in the beautiful city of Djerba, in the south of Tunis, Tunisia. This event welcomes filmmakers from around the world, offering a platform for both feature and short films across all genres and categories. The festival aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue and artistic expression, highlighting the rich diversity of storytelling and cinematic styles.

The Medenine International Film Festival features two distinct competition categories, showcasing the best in both local and international cinema. The first competition focuses on local films, highlighting the rich storytelling and creative talents within Tunisia. The second competition is dedicated to international films, bringing a diverse array of voices and perspectives from around the globe.

Both competitions are judged by a distinguished jury, comprised of industry professionals and experts, who evaluate the entries based on artistic merit, creativity, and technical excellence. This dual-competition structure ensures a wide-ranging celebration of cinema, offering recognition and visibility to filmmakers at both the local and international levels.

The Medenine International Film Festival also includes a special category dedicated to children's films, celebrating storytelling that inspires and entertains young audiences. This category highlights the importance of nurturing creativity and imagination in children through cinema. Films in this category are selected for their ability to convey meaningful messages and engage young viewers in a captivating way.

The children's films category, like the others, is evaluated by a dedicated jury, ensuring that the selections meet high standards of quality and creativity. This addition reflects the festival's commitment to inclusivity and its recognition of the vital role of films in educating and inspiring the next generation.
