Director Statement

On the surface, "Me Three" is about Jeannie, a 17 year-old girl who is dark, closeted and a bit of an outcast/loner, and her worst nightmare: What if her bickering divorced parents were killed in front of her and their spirits survived but entered her body? Ahh!!

But alas underneath it's about a family reforging the bonds broken in divorce while racing to save Jeannie. Through that Jeannie forges new friendships and, with her two friends, confronts and brings down her parents' killer, and ultimately embraces herself and her gifts. She's forced to grow up quickly and steps into her own strength and power.

Divorce is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking things that can happen to a family with children. The child is always the one that suffers the most because they have the least power and didn't choose to be brought into this situation.

In the vein of "Freaky Friday", "Ghost" and "All Of Me", this story creates a comedic and dramatic situation where the child's life is at risk and mom, dad and child must come together to save her. Through that they all adapt and grow and evolve and perhaps even for a second, recapture the love that brought them all together in the first place.
