“May you Listen?” is a dance film that was created online, through Zoom, during the third national lockdown in the U.K.
It's a creation made for JV2, the young company of Jasmin Vardimon and everything was realised across distance of six different countries.
It's a piece that touches themes of loneliness and our attachment to memories.
In these historical times we are living in , I want to explore how solitude can affect people but also different reasons why people fall into this state and almost find impossible to get out of it.
"May you listen?" talks about the story of a woman addicted to alcohol and cigarettes.
One day she starts to listen to some voices that take her on a journey to find out where they are coming from.
With the audience witnessing, she is forced to face her biggest nightmares and memories.
Everything unfolds in a huge vortex of emotions until she gets to the bottom of it.
Things can happen without knocking at the door.
You can find the most hidden place, they will follow you until your hidden place becomes your prison.
