This film challenges people's fundamental belief that they are raising their children objectively, when in fact most people raise their children differently based on whether they perceive them as boys or girls. This film featuring Max and River is about allowing the child themselves to make the choice, without people pushing their preconceived ideas onto them. Whether boy, girl or non-binary is entirely up to them.
