Mauro Paracini was born in Rome on 9 October 1953.
In 1972 he graduated as an aeronautical expert. From 1980 to 2010 he worked in a credit institution. His interests are graphics, videography and short films, activities that have led him since the mid-80s to collaborate with Italian jazz musicians for the graphic creation of their albums.
With the video "Al (l) ways night" he wins: in 1996 the prize for best short film in the "II Rassegna Piccoli Films" organized by the Roman association "Cult Movies", in 1997 the first edition of the film and television critics prize " Castelli dell'Alta Marca Anconetana ”, president of the jury Giuliano Montaldo and in 1999 the video competition of the Municipality of Rome“ Summer in Rome / Roman Summer ”.
In 2011 he organized the "Labaro Jazz Festival", three days of free music in the neighborhood where young jazz musicians from Roman music schools alternate with professional jazz ensembles from the capital.
Since 2019 he is the artistic director of the "Friday Jazz" review at the Teatro le Sedia.
For the year 2022, this review is dedicated to "Women in Jazz".
