Mauri was born and raised in Argentina, South America.
After getting a degree as an accountant, he dropped everything to pursue his artistic career. First he started exploring as an actor, then taking photographs, to end up making films.
In 2013, Mauri created YOSOYDELMUNDO ( YSDM ).
It all started as a travel blog and mutated into an independent film production company.
6 years later, after making his first steps as a film director and producer on the land where he was born, Mauri heard the call of the Ocean and moved to Australia.
Walking in the Bush and diving in the Ocean changed forever his way of observing and interacting with nature. He deeply connected with this Country Spirit and Wildlife.
Mauri feels that as an artist, staying behind a camera it’s not enough. Getting hands dirty and participating in regenerative actions is the way he feels he can contribute back.
Mauri’s dream is to be able to get these lessons and knowledge back to his birth land and contribute to heal and regenerate a shattered South America. Currently producing EnvironmentArt Stories, a podcast documentary series about nature.
