Born and raised in a north Italian suburb, in a small village between Garda lake and Rovereto. After a scientific high school path he switches to what he loves more: art, cinema and music. He's been playing guitar since he was 8 and set up a small band who played in some national buskers festivals. At 19 he moves to Venice where he shares an apartment near the Frari with a nationally known songwriter and a clever international relation PhD student.
His approach to the moving picture is one's of the outsider. He studies cinema history as well as cinema theory and critics but he has no practical knowledge of the movie making process. What he does comes from observation: he watches plenty of movies and observes the city where he lives. Venice has taught him how to use light and shadows, what aesthetics means, what's harmony and what's pure Art. In his opera prima, beside writing and directing, he writes, plays and records the original score. The result is a one of a kind.
