I was born in Eastern Slovakia in 1999 but a short time later, my parents received their green cards and decided to emigrate to the US in 2001. We settled in Linden, NJ and have been living here ever since.
Growing up, I never had a concrete idea of what I wanted to do later on in life. My interests changed constantly, and it wasn't until I was a junior in high school when I thought I wanted to pursue Physical Therapy. I ended up going to college for it, but quickly figured out it wasn't for me. After a terrible first semester, I dropped my major, went undecided, and then started to realize film was my passion. All throughout middle school and high school, any opportunity I could get to turn a school project into a video, I took it. I loved movies and making short videos with friends was a passion of mine. When I was a Freshman in college, I stumbled upon Youtube vlogs and cinematic travel videos, and that was when I first picked up a camera. A real one.
I was inspired by cinematic travel videos and various different YouTubers. I wanted to travel the world for a living. I quickly got obsessed with photography at the same time. That explains my passion to be a Director of Photography. All I knew was that I wanted to create beautiful images.
My hobbies include hockey and tennis (both playing and watching), playing guitar, taking photos, and traveling to anywhere I get the time (and money) for.
My name is pretty confusing for most people to pronounce. What I tell people when they first meet me is that my first name rhymes with "latte", and that seems to help the most.
