Olivia Hops was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January 2020 at 24 years old. Her entire life she wondered "why" she was the way she was. The day of her diagnosis was the best day of her life. She finally had all of her answers to make her life make sense. The former NFL Network editor and producer now makes regular YouTube videos to try to bring awareness to other girls and women on the spectrum.
My hope in making my videos and nominating myself for this award is to bring more awareness to females on the Autism Spectrum. With more awareness, I can hopefully help other girls and women like myself figure themselves out and finally get answers to why their brain works the way it does. I also hope that with more awareness, girls can get diagnosed younger so they don't have to go through the same trauma I and many other Autistic women had by growing up unknowingly Autistic.
