Marysville
In 1848, amidst the chaotic fervor of the California Gold Rush, Marysville stands as a burgeoning town teetering on the brink of lawlessness and opportunity. Thomas Wilson, a disillusioned ex-soldier with a haunting past, arrives in town, hoping to leave behind his troubled history. However, he quickly discovers that Marysville is rife with corruption and danger, largely controlled by the manipulative and powerful merchant, Samuel Brennan.
Thomas, struggling to conceal his true identity as a wanted man for murder and desertion, finds allies in the unlikeliest of places: Charlie, a tough stagecoach driver harboring secrets of his own; Paddy, an Irish saloon owner dreaming of reuniting with his beloved Margaret; and Lotta Crabtree, a talented singer yearning for a new life in New York City.
As shipments of gold are continuously robbed under suspicious circumstances, Thomas grows suspicious of Brennan’s involvement. Determined to expose the truth, he devises a plan, secretly marking a coin and placing it in a shipment to catch Brennan in the act. However, the plan goes awry when Lotta, under Brennan's influence, switches the marked coin, leaving Thomas with no concrete proof and deepening his suspicions of betrayal.
Tensions reach a boiling point when Thomas, Charlie, and Paddy confront Brennan in a dramatic showdown at the saloon, but Brennan’s cunning and the town’s debts keep him in power. Amidst the chaos, Thomas’s past catches up with him as wanted posters circulate, putting his newfound friends in a precarious position.
In the final act, Thomas’s wealthy father, Robert, and ex-fiancée, Elizabeth, receive news of his whereabouts and set out to find him. Elizabeth’s sharpshooting skills and determination convince Robert to allow her to join the pursuit, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation.
As Thomas battles external threats and internal demons, he must navigate the treacherous landscape of Marysville, seeking justice and redemption while avoiding capture. The series promises a gripping tale of loyalty, betrayal, and survival in the untamed frontier of the American West.

I’m a storyteller at heart, with a career that’s as varied as it is fascinating. From owning a comedy club for nearly a decade to becoming an award-winning screenwriter and novelist, my journey has been driven by a love for crafting compelling narratives, whether they unfold on the screen or within the pages of a book.
My first screenplay, inspired by the unique world behind the scenes of a comedy club, was a natural extension of my own experiences. This project set the stage for a career that now spans several genres. Having taught and performed improv comedy for over 30 years, I have a particular affinity for creating engaging sitcom pilots and comedy features. But my storytelling canvas is broad—I am also deeply passionate about American history, which has led me to work on features and TV drama pilots that explore pivotal moments of our past.
Currently, I am channeling my storytelling prowess into two exciting projects: a one-hour TV drama set in the tumultuous California Gold Rush era and a horror feature inspired by the eerie legends of the Pied Piper. Each project is a testament to my belief in the power of story, a belief honed by three decades of improvisation that taught me the art of weaving coherent, impactful narratives from the most unexpected moments.
As a screenwriter, my portfolio is as diverse as my interests, earning me numerous awards and recognitions. But beyond the accolades, my greatest reward is the ability to share stories that entertain, educate, and inspire.
