MaryLanae Linen is an MFA candidate at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in Film & Television Production. There she focuses on directing, writing, and producing. Before USC, MaryLanae found herself at Kean University as a Communication: Media/Film student as she worked for the University as a director, videographer, and editor. She also attained skills in social media video content creation as well as working with brands like SWIRLYCURLY to produce content for youtube. In addition, MaryLanae was an affluent member of the black community at Kean University with memberships with the Pan African Student Union and a sister of the National Council of Negro Women. MaryLanae’s goals are to create films and tv shows that highlight the amazing qualities of black men and women as well as other marginalized groups.
