Marta Allegra is a performer and filmmaker whose work explores the intersection between reality and dreams. Her focus is on the movement of the human body and its relationship with landscapes, blending elements of video art with documentary techniques.
She worked as a performer in the creation of the show Oedipus Rex by Bob Wilson. She debuted with her first choreographic solo, Icaro, at the festival Colpo al Corpo. She performed in the production Quella mostruosa amorevole creatura, directed by Stefano Cenci. Marta collaborated with the Non Company, a choreographic research project in butoh dance led by Alessandro Pintus, performing as a dancer at the HochX Theater und Live Art in Munich and at the Supercinema in Tuscania with the show Apocalisse Nova. She worked as a videomaker at the 2024 Lago Film Fest, where she directed her first short film, Risvegliarsi di sogno.
