Director Biography - Tameeka Colon

Born in New York, raised in The Bronx, and now residing in Brooklyn, Tameeka Colon has been creating innovative and engaging independent content since 2015. As a graduate of Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, her silent film "Perfect Stranger" was not only selected as a Faculty Pick of 2016 but was also selected as a finalist for the Glamour and Girlgaze #NewView Film Competition in 2017. Since then, she has gone on to work with The Bennett Sisters, Toshi Reagon, and producing music videos for artists such as Elle Winston's "Downtown" and "Go", starring Grammy Award Winning artist, Anna Wise (Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A ButterFly).

"Married w/o Kids", is Colon's directorial and writing debut. The narrative episode offers viewers a new perspective of a what being young, black, and married w/o kids in Brooklyn looks like.
