Historic Turnage Theatre, Washington North Carolina

This annual film festival features Amateur, Professional and Student films from North Carolina film makers or about North Carolina. Eligible students must be attending a NC high school, college or university.

Amateurs are non-professional full-time film makers.

The festival will be held at the Historic Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington, North Carolina on November 1 & 2, 2019. Opening November 1 with the winning Best Overall film shown preceded by a meet & greet with some of the judges, film makers & cast.

Entries will undergo a tiered judgement system.

First Tier- Entries are correct and fees paid. Failure to submit correctly or pay fees will result in the films disqualification.

Second Tier- Submissions are assigned to judges who specialize in the various fields of Submission.

Third Tier- Category Winners compete for Best Overall

Tickets on sale October 1, 2019.

2019 Submission Categories:

- Feature Length 31 minutes or longer (Max 90 minutes)

- Short (30 minutes or less)

- Animated

- Nature

- Historic

- Horror

- Documentary

Submissions by FilmFreeway only. If chosen as a finalist a hard copy (DVD) must be provided to the festival, or film risks elimination.

Winners will be notified by October 15, 2019 by email.

Acknowledgement for the Best of Category and cash prizes across submissions for Best Overall ($150), Best Short ($50) & Best Full Length ($50) accompanied by a certificate.

Rules & Fees: Applicants may enter as many entries in a single category as they like and may enter the same entry in multiple categories.
