Marissa Michel is a two-time American Voice nominee and the 2022 Gold Recipient for Media and Entertainment in the Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards. She worked as a 2024 Spring Creative Intern at the production company American High. She is currently a junior Media Arts Production-BFA student at Emerson College. Marissa’s short film “The Lottery” (2024) premiered at the Eagle Theater in Georgia in October 2024 as a best student film nominee in the Nightmare on Broad St. Film Festival. “The Lottery” won Best Performance and Best Directing - Student Psychological Thriller in the 2024 Pittsburgh Moving Picture Festival. Her feature script “Milkweed” is a semifinalist in the 2024 Shore Scripts Feature Competition and a quarterfinalist in the 2024 Screencraft Drama Competition.
Marissa is credited as a camera operator and costume coordinator on the 2023 feature film "Atrabilious" starring Whoopi Goldberg and Jeffrey Wright.
