Mariposa
Grace, a young a gifted photographer, is seeking to discover a life beyond the confinements of her bleak, humble home-life. She carries wisdom beyond her years but is tormented by her lack of confidence and clarity. She moves in as a roommate with an exotic dancer, Kat. Kat introduces Grace, a restless virgin, to a club life on stage. The two girls figure eight to obtain a balance of perspectives as Kat becomes Grace’s muse and Grace becomes Kat’s savior. Their unique nature eventually leads them to go journey each in their own way. Grace returns to New York, to find herself hospitalized, determined to lose her virginity and slowly continue down a path as a dancer without morals. Bound to realize only her own inner truth and passionate eternal flame can save her.

Shekhina is a professional in the entertainment industry with valuable experience in classical theatre, film production, producing, and screenwriting. Current Executive Producer and Founder of Intergalactika Studios, an innovative multi-media production company that emphasizes the evolution of social consciousness. Intergalactika Studios believes that “story is dream, music is life, and love is everything.” Shekhina was born in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. She left home on a full scholarship to study theatre at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She studied classical theatre at the Globe Theatre in London in a Shakespearean intensive. After conservatory training she moved to Los Angeles to begin studying at Santa Monica College with a focus in Dance and Psychology. She continued her training in Los Angeles by attending local acting studios, including Stephanie Feury Studio (Method), and Playhouse West (Meisner) with Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum. Shekhina’s passion for film further expanded while working on independent and student films. She advanced her entertainment career into filmmaking by taking courses at UCLA for entertainment/producing. After receiving a referral to work for Executive Producer Clint Culpepper, Shekhina fully committed her time to production at Sony Studios working as an independent contractor for the executive team at Screen Gems. Her experience at Sony led her to work as a freelance producer, producing music videos and a feature film documentary, titled "Porchlight Sessions”. She has committed years to the development and completion of multiple screenplays, including rising projects like “Mariposa.” She is fortunate to have extensive encouragement from her company backers and industry network and is actively working to release her first original feature film. Shekhina is devoted to her projects for the benefit and liberation of all beings. She also frequently auditions as an actress under her long term representative, Lori Brevig at NBS Entertainment.
She balances her business acumen with a focus on health and personal self-realization. She is an advanced yogini who will always tell you it’s “All Love.” Most importantly, she leads with her heart, has a prismatic imagination, and goes above and beyond to bring visions into reality.
