Leandros graduated with high honors from the Aristotle University of Thessaloni
ki, Faculty of Visual and Applied Arts, with an Integrated Master’s degree in Sculp
ture in 2021. He initially studied at the University of Peloponnese in the Depart
ment of Informatics and Telecommunications in 2011 before dedicating himself
fully to the visual arts. Since 2021, he has been working in Berlin as an interdisci
plinary artist.
-Artistic Practice-
Leandros’ work explores human neurology, perception, and the biogeomorphology
that connects us. His practice is rooted in creating spaces that provoke an “annoy
ing” yet engaging experience for viewers, compelling them to confront their own
vulnerabilities in both empirical and intellectual realms. This exploration is often
realized through spaces that combine everyday objects with dystopian elements,
aiming to reveal new perspectives on human consciousness and the impact of art
on our world view.
Materials and Techniques
His material palette includes stone, neon, glass, clay, metal, etching, and digi
tal media. Since 2018, Leandros has used neon as a primary medium in various
formats and combinations with other materials. He began working with glass in
2020, integrating it into his vision of "Becoming Transparent" series to explore
themes of transparency and introspection.
