Margo Mot studied filmmaking at KASK in Ghent, where she practiced both documentary and fiction. In 2015 she received her bachelor’s degree with the fiction short film ‘De Vlakte’ (Clearing). This film was selected by Brussels Short Film Festival and won the price for 'Best Drama Short' at Santorini Film Festival. In 2017 Margo graduated with ‘Too Far Too Close’. Although her masterproject was well received by the jury, she decided to re-edit. The final cut of ‘Too Far Too Close’ premiered at Ciné Privé 2018 Festival in Ghent and was selected by Zoom Zbliżenia in Poland. After her studies, Margo focuses mainly on making videos for dancers and musicians, as she continues to write new films and walk through the world full of wonder with an observant cinematic eye.
