Marcos Vedovetto is a Brazilian, Dancer and Choreographer who has been pursuing his dreams of creative success in the United States for the past fifteen years, where he has since put down his roots by becoming an American citizen. While in Brazil, Marcos performed professionally as a backup dancer for several popular singers. In 2017, he worked as a PRO dancer for the Brazilian version of the TV show “Dancing with the Stars”. He currently works as a dancer for the San Francisco Opera Ballet. Marcos' passion for directing began at age 23 when he started watching music videos on MTV. After moving to New York City from Brazil in 2006, his creative curiosity led Marcos to take pictures of everything in his environment. As his passion grew more intense, Marcos became especially enamored with filming birds while considering the potential of a professional career as a director. With a passion for the arts in his blood, Marcos was determined to get into a good school where he'd be able to formally study filmmaking and hone his craft in order to inspire people with his artistry and showcase how much beauty he could create with his talents. Early in his years of living and working in New York City, Marcos met soul singer Sherry Lewis with whom he began a long-standing creative collaboration that has led him to direct music videos for several of her songs. The opportunity to pursue a comprehensive education in filmmaking came when Marcos moved to California and, with the help and inspiration of a dear friend, began his studies at Lane College in Oakland, CA. In 2019, during his first semester, Marcos wrote, produced, and directed his first short film "Heart Dancing". His dance-themed creation earned Marcos a scholarship from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in San Francisco. In his second semester, Marcos created a short documentary as well as another short dance film called “Dreamer”, which is set to be his first submission in upcoming film festivals around the world. Marcos Vedovetto has devoted his life to pursuing his artistic passions and he continues to live by the tenets of gratitude, hard work, and creative evolution that lead every dreamer to the realization of his goals.
