Marcos Soriano was born in Chicago, Illinois to Dominican immigrants. He studied film at Columbia College-Hollywood in Los Angeles, writing screenplays in his off hours and honing his talent over the years. Marcos also discovered he had a talent for editing in film school and has since made a career as an editor, cutting feature films, television shows for various networks and movie trailers. He received two Golden Trailer nominations for his trailer work, competing against himself in the same category, and won several Telly and Promax awards for his promos. He was also awarded for his work as a writer, receiving best script for the sci-fi film FEEDBACK at the 2002 Slamdunk Film Festival in Park City, Utah. His short films OFFICE CREEPER and SINGULARITY garnered notice at several film festivals. His screenplay ONLY CHILD was a top ten finalist in the Screencraft Sci-Fi Screenplay contest. DERELICT is his first feature length film, and won Best Indie Feature at the Los Angeles Film Awards.
