"March 12th" is a work that considers the balance between the pursuit of artistry and human relationships. "Jigokuhen" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa depicts the supremacy of art, but what it depicts is the ultimate example.
Although it may not be as extreme as "Hell Hen," cases where the balance between artistic pursuits and human relationships are disrupted are emerging as compliance issues in all kinds of modern times.
For me, as a filmmaker and director, it is a major premise in production to give maximum consideration to the human relationships involved in the pursuit of artistry, and I aim to create a production based on the thorough implementation of that major premise.
For example, while producing a work, I think that the words I said in order to improve the artistry and quality may have hurt someone on the crew. I may be hurting the other person. It is necessary to be aware of this and be considerate of others.
This challenge is not limited to expression, of course, but exists in all aspects of life. This is an issue that we must continue to think about and act on as long as human relationships are involved.
When there are two people, and one person transmits something to the other person, and the person receiving the message perceives it as "violence," it is undeniably true that violence has occurred. It will be. I think this is probably something that continues to occur in all aspects of daily life. Escaping from a relationship that hurts and hurts is something you cannot escape if you want to live in a relationship. Rather than giving up on communication just because you can't escape a relationship that hurts and hurts you, it is important to actively communicate and make an effort to think and act from the other person's point of view.
Times and values are always changing, and the speed of change is so fast that I sometimes think what is create? As a filmmaker and a director, I must be prepared to hurt people (and be prepared to be hurt). And above all else, I want to value the truly obvious thing of respecting others. "March 12th" contains the feeling of self-discipline and the desire not to leave problems behind as problems.
