Born in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas in September 10, 1999, Juan Manuel Morales or "Manu Morales" is an enthusiast and fan of animation and retro movies. A graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences from Universidad La Salle Victoria, Manu works as a teacher while continuing his struggle to create motivating and imaginative stories that can please children and touch the hearts of adults.
In 2019 he began his Day of the Dead tetralogy with "La Huesuda Radioescucha", a traditional Mexican poem known as a "calaverita" that was made as a short film in which a story was told through drawings and voice acting.
What started with this small project turned into a larger story that had its continuation in 2020 with "La Carrera Perecedera" and in 2021 with "Con Pasión Tu Vocación". Even longer short films that had a good reception and views on social networks and also involved the participation of multiple cartoonists from different countries with the objective of having several drawing styles that told the same story.
In 2022 Manu decided to make his first large-scale film production with the participation of people from his city, from different states of Mexico and from different countries around the world, tripling the number of people involved with respect to the previous work. This production was "Lo Unido Permanece" (The United Remains), the end of his tetralogy of calaveritas with which he also carried out a marketing campaign in social networks, with the sale of merchandise financed by himself and a complete thesis about his entire experience making this film.
