Mankap Nokwoham belongs to the Wancho tribe from Ranglo village in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. He has completed his graduation in journalism and mass communication in Delhi. Currently, he is in the final year of his post-graduation in Direction and Screenplay Writing at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
Mankap has garnered acclaim for his directorial work in several short films and documentaries, receiving numerous awards and accolades at both national and international film festivals. Notably, he contributed to the Arunachalee feature film "Sangi-Gai" by writing the screenplay and dialogues. Presently, he is engaged in writing another feature film for a director from Arunachal Pradesh. Concurrently, his debut feature-length documentary is undergoing the final stages of post-production.
