Director Biography - Hera Gunes Barlowe

Hera Güneş Barlowe is a New York based artist from İstanbul, Türkiye.

Growing up in a family of film directors, Hera was introduced to numerous branches of art and sports, including painting, singing, dancing, kickboxing, horseback riding, and many others.

Hera's love for acting has always stood out the most, because of her compassion towards being the voice of those whose stories are unheard. Even at the earliest age of 6, she has always felt great intuition to fight injustices that are being done to people, animals, and the environment.

Hera's latest project, Dream on Baransky, is an Off-Broadway musical, opening on December 5th at the Cullum Theatre. Hera is also tied to an upcoming TV show and a feature film over the summer. Hera is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan and a member of the Actors Society. Hera has trained at Stella Adler's Studio of Acting (NYC), IDSA (London), Act Attack (Amsterdam), and Dialog Anlatim (Istanbul). She is trained in various techniques, such as Meisner, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, Alexander Technique, and Laban Movement Efforts.
In her free time, she loves to travel and learn about new cultures, paint, dance, and watch Friends for the 100th time.
