Director Biography - Louis Mansfield

Louis Manfield’s love of telling stories comes from a mischievous place. As a kid he he loved staying up late watching The Simpsons when he was supposed to be asleep and renting rated R movies on his own from the video store up the street, of course without his parents' permission. As he got older, he was attracted to films like Taxi Driver and The Shining and found deep appreciation for stand up comedy. - These experiences eventually came to shape his approach to comedy writing and developed a passion for clever storytelling, incorporating both an external premise and a deeper internal struggle, all with a little levity.

Following his first feature film, Louis wrote and directed 8 short films, which have earned over 50 official film festivals selections internationally to date. He’s currently developing a slate of features, Only Bigger Problem, Proper Etiquette, Old Man in France, We Can and We Will, Death Of The Boogeyman, and Day On Record. Along with his producing partner Christine McDermott, he co-owns a Los Angeles based production and post company, The FFR.
