Faramarz Ramezanian was born during the snowy winter of Tehran in 1987. Ever Since he could remember, he never knew a “home” of his own as he kept moving around in Iran like nomads for years. Perhaps that is why the stories he is eager to tell occur in streets & away from the comfort of home.
Growing up, he pursued his interest in the art of imagery & studied architecture & graphics in university.
He worked in the Iranian theatre industry for years, writing & directing various plays. His theatre works won him several national awards & praises from critics & audiences.
He eventually followed his deepest passion & finished his master's degree in filmmaking.
In his postmodernist play, Hamletmachine, Heiner Muller declares:
“I lay on the ground & heard the word revolving step by step into putrefaction”…
Maliceye is a conceptual effort, developed from the realms of magical realism in literature. The main concern of this work is how to create a literal & visual point of view for abstraction.
The story is entirely visualized through the perspective of malice. As an entity, the concept of evil plays the third character in the story, we hear its abetting & see through its omnipotent eye: Maliceye…
