Make the Devil Laugh

Kazuma killed his father to protect his mother and sister from violence. He begins his life in a rehabilitation facility with the aim of reintegrating into society, but the “society” labels him as a murderer. He gradually loses hope of living. One day, Kazuma gets caught up in the bullying of a foreign worker at the wrecking yard where he works. Kazuma is snapped out of his despair by a Chinese co-worker Liu, who stepped in to stop the bullying while everyone else turned a blind eye. Through his interactions with Liu, he begins to see the meaning of the life he wants to have, but...

Director Biography - Ryuichi MINO

Born 1988 in Kagawa ,japan, Prefecture. Mino graduated from the Kyoto University of the Arts Department of Film, and afterward accumulated experience by working on the sets of film and television dramas as an assistant director. He then invited his younger brother Kazuhiko Mino into the film industry and together established the film production team Mino Bros. Their feature film directorial debut Rojin Farm (2017) won the Audience Award at the Kanazawa Film Festival 2018.
