Director and writer Amadou Barry grew up between Conakry, Accra and Brazzaville and moved to London in 2020 to attend Metfilm school.
In December 2021 Amadou wrote and directed “Natu”, his first short film for his masters project. After working as a crew member on several shorts in film school, this film is his directorial debut.
He spent the year 2022 at the Othercinemas film school workshops, where Amadou wrote and directed his second short film “Mainstream Beauty”.
His main career goal is to direct a feature film in Guinea for a major production company.
