Born in Tehran, Iran in 1996, he is currently based in Los Angeles, California studying directing at the AFI Conservatory. He started his career as an editor and then directed his own films simultaneously. His works were screened in numerous festivals including Berlinale, Venice film festival, and Camerimage. While studying his undergrad at Tehran University of Art, he also made a documentary in Berlin, in an exchange program with Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
