Mahmoud Shoolizadeh is an independent film Director, Producer and Screen Writer based in USA. He received a B.A degree in Film Production (Directing) and an M.A. degree in Cultural Affairs Management and has been a film director for over 30 years and made several films. His major activities include directing several documentaries in Asia, Africa and Europe. He also made many fiction, long and short films and movies. Beside directing, producing and editing films, he also undertakes writing the scripts.
He has been the recipient of several awards, including: The documentary "Toolmaker" as the best documentary in Poland, and "A man called Brian" as the best documentary and best director in Iran. His long length 35 mm movie "Noora" has been sold to more than 40 countries for broadcasting in TV channels all over the world, and has been the "Official Selection" in many film festivals and has gotten several awards including Best Film at the "49th Taormina International Film Festival", Italy in June 2003. He also got Best Film for "The Prisoner" at the "Hollywood Cinerockom International Film Festival", USA, LA, CA, 2013. Best Film for "The Debt" at the "Moondance International Film Festival", USA, CO, Boulder, September 2014. One of his latest films "Daddy" has been screened in 30 film festivals around the world and won 40 awards and nominations including: Best American Film for "Daddy" at the "Toronto World International Film Festival", Canada, Toronto, December 2015.
