Magnolia

Magnolia is a sensory and poetic documentary film portraying my mother and a space-time, more precisely the time when my mother used to live sedentarily in Panama City Beach Florida. Now at the age of 65 years old, nomadic and free to go wherever her heart tells her, she feverishly recounts bits of her life experience and reveals to us the benefits of living in her van.

Director Biography - Mark Durand

Artiste multidisciplinaire gaspésien fasciné par le rêve, l’aventure, la nature, la simplicité volontaire, la liberté, l’amitié, la jeunesse, l’inclusivité et la diversité dans tous ses aspects. Pour moi, le résultat d'un projet n’est pas son aboutissement. Ma démarche artistique reste ouverte et absorbante afin de me laisser surprendre par le processus de la création. Ma démarche artistique est une recherche perpétuelle qui me permet d'explorer ma créativité et m'aide à mieux me comprendre. Pour moi, l'art est un précieux portail qui préserve dans le temps la magie du monde.
