1) Short films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes which are able to justify a strong
Italian component in the creative process (i.e. director, main producer, screenwriter and / or location / plot) can register at the festival. The year of the production of the film should not be prior to 2016.
2) Each creator is responsible for the content of their work.
3) The film's dialogues do not necessarily have to be in Italian. The selected films must send, in addition to the film file, the dialogue list and an SRT version of the subtitles in French, Italian or English (one of the three options is enough). The festival will take care of the completion of missing translations to facilitate viewings for the international public. Should the authors of a selected work not be able to present the requested material, the film could be excluded from the selection.
4) The selected films will be contacted by the festival staff and an official selection list will be available on the site in August.
5) In the case of selection, a copy in H264 of the film will be requested for projection. The
film must be free of subtitles (or, in the case of dialogues in Italian, provided with integrated French subtitles).
6) Once selected, the film cannot be withdrawn from selection.
7) The festival will not be responsible for the payment of any projection fees.
8) A request to participate in the 4th edition of the Magàri festival (and therefore the
registration of the work through the FilmFreeway platform) constitutes the full acceptance of these regulations.
9) A jury of professionals, will assign the Best Film award. Their decision is unappealing. Through popular vote, the audience will also assign its Best Film Award. The Magàri Festival team will assign his own "Coup de Coeur" award.
