Magali Lara en su taller in her studio documents the life and work of a visual artist, representative of a generation of Mexican artist who began their career in the seventies. Reviewing her origin, the development of her vocation, and her poetic, literary and artistic influences, a portrait of a woman is made, who questions in her work the expression of intimacy, identity and feminine aesthetics.

Director Biography - Adriana Estrada Álvarez

Adriana Estrada Álvarez (Ciudad de México, 1973). She has studies in sociology, rural development and political science. Since 2012 she is a professor in Faculty of Arts of the State University of Morelos in Mexico. She combines research on mexican cinema and documentary creation. She is editor and author of "Cine político en México (1968-2017)" (Political Cinema in Mexico 1968-2017) and Magali Lara in her studio is her first short film.
