Ayoola Jolayemi is an award-winning director and storyteller whose work uncovers untold stories, amplifies marginalized voices, challenges perspectives, and provokes understanding through visual storytelling. His notable works include When the Dust Settles, a participatory documentary chronicling the journeys of refugee families in the UK, Stop the Razor, a powerful documentary addressing female genital mutilation (FGM), and Made for More, which sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the workplace, among others.
When he isn’t creating films, Ayoola guest lectures at the University of East Anglia, teaching decolonial filmmaking and empowering students to challenge dominant narratives through creative storytelling. With a body of work that inspires dialogue and drives change, Ayoola continues to craft powerful stories that resonate across audiences
