Joshua D. Bennett hails from Miami Lakes, Florida and has loved movies from a young age. Captivated by the fantastical escape cinema provided him from reality, Josh devoted his energy into understanding the craft anyway he could. Starting on YouTube, his skills would only grow after his attendance at Miami Dade College in its acclaimed SEDT program from 2015 to 2019 where he earned himself a Bachelors in Applied Science for Film Technology. It was there he got his start producing various short films with many talented individuals - (Life on the Baseline, Homelessness and CUBA 2021 to name a few) and it was also here where he learned that his never quit attitude was a remarkable quality to have in such a high pressured environment. Even when the Covid pandemic hit, he found innovation in hinderance. That is when he began writing/producing/and directing his own short films - all strange concepts that embody his favorite genres, themes and characters. There is a level of mystery every time an idea formulates in his brain and in how it is executed, but it is without a doubt a Mad Reel Movie experience.
Josh currently works in Broadcasting as an Assistant Event Manager for USA equestrian events. Producing content for World Equestrian Center horse jumping. Including and not limited to the distribution of individual video clips for clients and the creation of highlight reel packages marketing location festivities. Any additional profit contributes to the next big venture in filmmaking.
