Macon was a real gem. So supportive and kind and what a fun city Macon is! Everyone must go if you have the chance. I was "adopted" by an amazing couple and had a wonderful place to stay. Great parties, networking, screenings and the director, Tabitha and her staff, were beyond amazing every step of the way. Will definitely be back!

  • MFF is incredible! I was unfortunately unable to attend this year (2018) with my narrative short but plan to submit and be back! Tabitha and the whole team are incredibly welcoming and informative. The communication is great and they even offer potential travel stipends and other fantastic filmmaker perks. The programming is top notch and they often have some big titles as well as undiscovered gems. This will also give your film exposure to the Atlanta market...I had an invitation to submit my film to a festival in Atlanta just because a programmer saw my short here! So the opportunities abound at MFF. Submit!

  • I had a wonderful time and felt very welcomed. The MFF staff was great and very hospitable and took the time to make sure all filmmakers were taken care of. The selection of films were top notch and there were plenty of social/networking events planned throughout the fest. I would definitely recommend this fest to others.

This is a festival with a ton of heart. Overall, this was a truly lovely deep south festival experience. I found the staff outstanding with communication. Their selections of shorts, VR pieces, and features was awesome! The hospitality was something to behold. I hope to return next year! Cannot recommend enough.
