During the months of confinement, I found refuge in my creativity. To keep my mind occupied and prevent myself from falling to the weight of loneliness, I began writing a Spanish novel. Each character reflected my ideas, worries, and goals. The story became a therapeutic getaway, demonstrating the power of storytelling during difficult times. As the narrative progressed, I found myself relating with the characters' problems, wants, and secrets. The narrative became a part of me, waiting for the ideal opportunity to come to life. The notion of adapting my work into a film had always remained in the back of my mind, but the right opportunity didn't come along until a professor suggested it as a final project for my second bachelor's degree. It was a fortunate convergence of events that brought my passion for storytelling together with a practical opportunity to bring these characters to life on the big screen. Before we discussed my concept with the professor, she told me about a disturbing dream she had the night before, in which she saw a wounded heart. Call it fate or chance, but it seemed like a sign. The dream replicated an important plot point, reinforcing my sense that "Mabel" was intended to be created. This film is more than simply a project; it is a culmination of personal development, a monument to the perseverance of creativity in difficult circumstances, and a journey that combines destiny and commitment. I am thrilled to introduce the audience to the characters and universe of "Mabel," welcoming them into a world where secrets, intrigue, and surprising turns combine to create a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.
