Maa

"Maa" is a journey of a mother, who has faced several problems throughout her lifetime. This film starts with four girls, roaming around the city to find a topic for their project. They come across a temple and find an old lady sitting in despair. Here the film takes a turn, when these girls request the old lady to narrate her story.

The story unfolds another side of the tragic life of the old lady, the "Maa", that inspite of her struggle, she was taken for granted by her daughter. In the end a secret comes to everyone. This film holds a social message that birth of a female child is still a problem to some of the households. And the last rites of "Maa" being performed by the girls put forward a thought provoking message to all.

“Maa” , inspired by a true story, is a tribute to all mothers. It celebrates motherhood everyday.
