Ulli Ackermann is a London-based German actor and young director who has appeared in several notable films and television series. Ulli, who stands out with his martial arts expertise, stage fighting, and performance, lends his action-focused sensibilities to all his characters and productions. As a creative he is fluent in both English and German.
Vincent Kerschbaum is a dynamic, internationally-trained actor with a broad range of experience across film, television, and theatre. Active in the U.K., Germany, and Mexico, Vincent brings a unique blend of cultural perspectives and a proven ability to work in English, German, and Spanish (all to native standard), making him a versatile choice for multilingual productions.
Ulli Ackermann and Vincent Kerschbaum, accomplished actors with extensive international experience, have joined forces to co-direct their first short film, Maybe We Are Overreacting.
Known for their work across film, television, and video games - Kerschbaum (The Wheel of Time, Elizabeth I) and Ackermann (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Wonder Woman) - the pair used this project as a creative exercise to step behind the camera. Entirely producing this film as a two-man team, whilst simultaneously drawing on their shared backgrounds in acting through years of experience on set as cast members, this dynamic duo sought to explore their understanding of storytelling, performance, and cinematic techniques to bring their own vision to life in this joint directorial debut.
Both are avid fans of horror and action genres, which inspired much of the film’s tone and energy whilst also including a splash of dark humour. This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter in their artistic journeys.
