Experiencing Interruptions?

MURKY WATERS

I wanted to see the body as the very possibility of transformation, of expansion, in which there are twists, widening, unblocking and crossings. Here the body is affected by its surroundings. It is free to explore, feel and transform himself, but he is also inhabiting a space that is becoming contaminated as time passes and with it he loses that freedom of movement. A tension is generated between the static and the flow. Between clay bodies that crack, pierce, pollute, disperse and become part of space, and moving bodies that flow through water and live through it, although the plastic (of babies) becomes a more static and flat material than the same clay that transforms, it expands and re-signifies. With these bodies, which are babies, the empty and full, dirty and clean space is shown, and how ephemeral life is in these murky waters. The video shows a harsh reality, where a life is born in each clay body but then they would disintegrate when immersed in water, and then buried in their own ashes and those of others. Sound enhances the message of the video, which is violent and infuriating. It makes the video potentialize towards much more real and much more conscientious topics.
